FREE “Recycler Training Workshop” for recycling center operators and staff
The Department of Conservation, Division of Recycling will conduct free workshops on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 in Emeryville. The goal of the workshops is to provide participants with refresher training on proper recordkeeping and operations to increase compliance and improve service to consumers. These workshops are being held three times each year in rotating locations through the State. Space is limited at all workshop facilities. Meeting facilities are accessible under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The workshops focus on the following:
customer service
proper inspection of containers
signage requirements
preparation of logs/receipts/daily summaries
completion of shipping reports (DR6’s)
Workshops are interactive and attendees will be asked to complete exercises that include performing calculations. Therefore, we ask that each attendee bring a hand-held calculator.
Two sessions will be offered and last approximately four hours—at 1:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M.
